Energy Efficiency Analysis

Using the latest infrared scanning cameras, pressure doors and a thorough energy audit, Palouse Synergy Systems will perform a complete check of your home and will show you exactly where the energy is used in your building.

blower door

Using our blower door, we will slightly depressurize your home to discover air leaks and prioritize which leaks are major, and which have little or no effect on energy use.

Most people in our experience have no idea how the ‘little’ leaks can add up to major energy bills, and they have even less idea where those leaks are or how inexpensive it is to fix them.

Our blower door, in combination with our infrared camera, can help you ‘see’ through your walls and ceilings and let you see for yourself where your heat is going or where cold air is drafting in.

Would you replace the tires on your car when the engine doesn’t run? No, you would take the car to a mechanic to find out exactly what needs to be fixed. That is precisely our job – to use our expertise to give you the right information so that you can fix the problem simply, quickly, and affordably. You may think your windows need replacement, but do they really? Our audit can help you make informed decisions to save you the most money on energy while spending the least on upgrades.

After our investigation, you’ll know exactly what steps can be taken to seal your building and what habit changes can be useful in reducing your energy costs even further. After our check we will provide you with a written and photographic analysis of what we’ve found, including a prioritized checklist of our recommendations. Many of our recommendations are easy to implement and some handy homeowners opt to make many of the corrections themselves. As an option, we can recommend quality contractors to make corrections.

We will even return at no extra charge within two months to again scan your building so that you can be assured that the corrections have been completed correctly. Our recommendations will be a balanced approach using scientific methods to assure that your home becomes comfortable, energy efficient, healthy, and lasts for many years. And don’t think you must make a radical lifestyle change to live comfortably – we simply help you get rid of the unknown or unnecessary waste.

Getting ready to sell or buy a new home or business?

Consider contacting us for a Thermal Efficiency Audit prior to putting your home or business on the market or before buying. Sellers can increase the value of their property by proving to potential buyers that the building is energy efficient, while Buyers can rest assured that their new purchase is a wise choice. When you consider that an inefficient building can cost thousands of additional dollars in energy costs over just several years, an Energy Efficiency Audit simply makes good sense. More and more, smart buyers of homes and businesses are factoring in energy costs when making a buying decision, so be ahead of the pack and convince buyers that your property is a best-value property.

The costs of our services are often recovered in just a few months of reduced energy bills after corrections and suggestions are implemented. Remember, this same price includes a follow up visit to your home or business!
